US Attorney and US Court plates from Massachusetts
An interesting type of license plate that is free of numbers other than the year is the US Attorney and US Court series of plates. These were issued as parking privilege plates which allowed officials associated with the Federal Court and US Attorney’s office to park without being ticketed around certain federal facilities in Massachusetts. Earliest known examples date back to 1940, with examples up through the 1960’s.
